This webinar-based self-study identifies similarities and differences between physician practice and risk management and hospital risk management.
Risk Managers are facing challenges associated with the increase in the number of physician practices being acquired by hospitals and health care systems. At this time, most hospital risk managers do not have a background in overseeing risk management programs in physician practices. The purpose of this activity is to provide an overview of the similarities and differences between physician practice and hospital risk management programs and assist those in risk management with the integration of these two programs.

- • Name common claim allegations associated with physician practices.
- • Identify strategies that will be of assistance when developing a physician risk management program.
