Description
In the ever-evolving landscape of health care, managing behavioral health crises effectively is crucial for ensuring the safety and well-being of both patients and staff. Our webinar, "There is No BERT Without ERNIE," is designed to provide health care professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the Behavioral Emergency Response Team (BERT) and its vital role in acute care settings.
Join us as we explore the necessity of establishing a BERT within your organization and how it can transform your approach to handling behavioral emergencies. This session will guide you through the essential components of implementing a BERT, including strategies for integration into acute care environments. We will also discuss the significant impact that a well-structured BERT can have on mitigating workplace violence and enhancing the quality of care for behavioral health patients.
Learning Objectives:
1. Identify the need for a behavioral emergency response team (BERT).
2. Describe the implementation process in an acute care setting.
3. Evaluate the implications on workplace violence and the quality of care of behavioral health (BH) patients.
