Health care environments often present high-pressure situations where de-escalation skills are critical to maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere. This webinar, Mastering De-Escalation in Health Care: From Recognition to Resolution, will provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools to handle challenging interactions with patients, visitors, and staff. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the legal obligations surrounding workplace safety in healthcare settings and learn practical approaches to prevent and respond to incidents of workplace violence.

Speaker:

Barb Linder, RN, BSN, MSN, CPHRM, CHC, is an experienced risk professional who worked in many clinical settings before transitioning to Vice President of Risk, Compliance, Safety, and Accreditation for a rural community hospital from 2014 to 2020. She was instrumental in prevention planning as well as staff education on violence in health care. Barb currently is a risk management consultant with ProAssurance which provides risk management services, resources, and education nationwide.
