Speaker Bios

Cheryl Callaghan is the Vice President of Risk, Claims & Litigation at Ascension Health, the largest health care system in the country. Before joining Ascension, she held the position of Vice President of Claims and Litigation for Stanford University Medical Network Risk Authority, LLC (The Risk Authority Stanford), as well as Director of Claims and Litigation for Stanford Healthcare and Stanford Children’s Health. Cheryl has dedicated more than 20-plus years of her career to working exclusively with health care providers and facilities in multiple states.

Pamela Popp is the Chief Risk Officer at Gallagher Bassett Healthcare, one of the world's top health care third-party administrators, and a former ASHRM President. Pamela is a recognized risk management and claims thought leader and is a leading advocate for early resolution approaches. She is the former Board President of the International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE) and the former President of AHA's Certification Center.

Heather Meyer joined Constellation in 2019 as a key risk mitigation and response team leader. Heather helps insureds identify and problem-solve MPL risk management concerns—offering guidance and recommendations to mitigate and control their risk of claims. She champions a strategic approach to managing risk and harm events guided by high-reliability principles and cause-analysis investigations. Heather has extensive risk management, claims, and clinical experience in health care systems and physician practices.

Dr. Randal Moseley serves as the Medical Director of Patient Safety & Risk at Confluence Health and aims to impact people's lives through better health care delivery. He advocates for rural health care at national events and promotes an integrated approach across systems. Dr. Moseley leverages his extensive clinical and risk management experience to promote change and operational innovation. He believes in collaboration across health care and partners with other leaders to drive positive changes in patient care.

Jerrod Bailey is the CEO of Medplace, an app built for health care systems to streamline their case and peer review processes. He holds over 20 years of experience in venture-backed technology companies and specializes in health care technology development, human-centered user experience design, and go-to-market strategy. Jerrod has helped launch over 100 technology start-ups, including corporate new ventures with American Express, Intel, and other notable names.
